Integrated I-9 and E-Verify

It is estimated that 20-40% of all I-9s have one or more errors a costly mistake for employers if audited. Our background screening system has fully-integrated support for I-9 management and E-Verify.

ICE is devoting more time and money into I-9 audits, so why not use an electronic I-9 system that will guide you through the process making sure that you supply the correct information and complete your I-9 forms within the requisite 3-days. The system will then create a compliant PDF I-9 form that you can store electronically or print and file.

In addition, if you have added our E-Verify product, the I-9 process captures all of the necessary information needed for E-Verify and will automatically submit it upon completion of the I-9. Seamless, efficient and time saving.

E-Verify

E-Verify may become a reality for all employers sooner rather than later. While E-Verify is currently a requirement for employers with Federal contracts, some states, like Tennessee, are ahead of the game and have added that requirement for all employers. If the new Accountability Through Electronic Verification Act, introduced by Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa, passes it would permanently authorize the E- Verify program for all employers. It is designed to help businesses comply with immigration laws by certifying the legal status of their workforce.

E-Verify is an additional verification layer that will help employers maintain a legal workplace. It is a new offering for CIC’s clients.
